In 2013 the application workshops, organized by microTEC and Prodintec, will start offering a wide range of skill enhancement, e.g. 3D CAD competences and Light-Rolls applications for different industries.
A part of the workshops will take place in the new building of Light-Rolls coordinator Prodintec.
Prodintec, a technological centre specialized in industrial design and manufacturing, inaugurated its brand-new building facilities on 22nd November. The President of the Principality of Asturias, Mr. Javier Fernandez, the Mayoress of Gijon, Mrs. Carmen Moriyon, and other authorities attended the event.
Prodintec is a private non-profit entity with one important mission, to foster the competitiveness of industrial firms by applying technological advances both to their products and to their manufacturing and management processes. Its new building is the result of the work of rehabilitation of the former tobacco drying facility at the Universidad Laboral, a truly representative building of the valuable industrial heritage of Asturias.
During his speech, the president of Prodintec, Mr. Ignacio Lopez-Aranguren, mentioned that “the innovation is the way to survive and we need it to compete on the international markets”. Mr Lopez-Aranguren noted that “Prodintec believes in innovation, like an axel for the progress and development, and in new technologies which have given us the opportunity of leading work groups and European projects to build a better future”.
